Involving families in their loved ones’ well-being

DomusVi has sought to strengthen our connection with one of our key stakeholders: the families of the older people we support. Out of this came a highly innovative initiative: Family Councils.

What better way to strengthen the bonds that unite us with the families who trust us to look after their loved ones than by involving them in the decisions we make? For families to play a meaningful role, they must be structurally integrated into the day-to-day work of our operational teams. This is why national Family Councils have been set up in each country, bringing together 25 family representatives selected at random. Throughout their term, these representatives address the issues they deem most important and make recommendations to the management team. They also have access to satisfaction surveys as well as data from
quality teams and produce an annual activity report.

From words to deeds

DomusVi fully integrates environmental, social and governance (ESG) issues into its development strategy. This approach is reflected in:

  • a structured and inclusive corporate social responsibility (CSR) policy
  • an ethical charter guiding the Group’s practices
  • compliance and whistleblowing mechanisms
  • active management of social, health and operational risks

The Group also measures its performance through a range of key indicators, including:

  • a resident satisfaction rate of 94.4%
  • monitoring employee working conditions and safety
  • regular quality and compliance audits
  • continuous improvement programmes for care practices.

Together, these commitments allow us to balance economic performance with positive social impact and sustainable development across all our operations.
